The province of Pontevedra, in the southwest of Galicia, is one of the smallest in all of Spain, with just 4,500 square km of surface area. But it is a sufficient area to find beautiful mountain bike routes and very attractive places, both on the coast, with the Rías Baixas as protagonists, and in the interior.
In this province you can find very diverse routes with a different claim, route and landscape. In them you can discover unique coastal environments such as the Ría de Arousa, ancient mountains full of mystique such as Monte Seixo or the lush forests of the Monteferro peninsula, near Vigo, which has become a paradise for hardliners in the area. .
Ría de Arousa Route
The Ría de Arousa is the largest of all the Galicia estuaries. It is part of the so-called Rías Baixas and is located between the Ría de Muros and the Ría de Pontevedra. On this route we travel along the southeast coast of the estuary, starting at the port of Cambados, arriving at Pereiro beach and returning along the same route to Cambados.
On the route, which is essentially flat, you visit some of the beaches of the estuary, such as Correlo, Pradeira or Fontiña, seeing the island of Toja and the town of O Grove in the background.

Mount Seixo Route
Monte Seixo is located in A Lama. From Pontevedra, almost 40 kilometers separate us from the top of this mountain full of mystique, at the top of which the Porta do Alén is located. It is a set of rocks that apparently form a megalithic complex made thousands of years ago - although this has not yet been confirmed.
The route begins and ends in Pontevedra and heads east to the municipality of A Lama, where the 5-kilometer ascent of the mountain begins. Once we reached the top of the Porta do Alén, we began a descent along the track without much technical difficulty, beginning the way back in a southeasterly direction to Pontevedra.

Enduro Monteferro
Near Vigo, specifically in the municipality of Nigrán, is the coastal peninsula of Monteferro. An enclave chosen by local
riders to descend with their enduro and downhill bikes. Most of this peninsula is forest, which surrounds the fun banked trails and jumps for the enjoyment of any biker eager for adrenaline.
This route that we propose has a moderate technical level. The descents are not especially hard or very technical, but you will have to have a certain level of practicing Trail or Enduro. The route consists of five short chained descents, no more than a kilometer, with their respective uphill and connecting sections.
